Helpful Hands to Recovery, LLC is an HCBS-AMH Recovery Management agency that provides community-based services to adults with severe mental health needs. We uphold high standards of documentation, professionalism, compliance, and client-centered care in every aspect of our work.

We are seeking an experienced Recovery Manager Coordinator to serve as a 1099 independent contractor who has advanced education, proven leadership experience managing a team, and strong skills in providing person-centered care to adults with mental health needs.

Position Overview

As a Recovery Manager Coordinator (Contractor), you will provide direct Recovery Management services and lead the Recovery Manager team. This role requires strong management skills, the ability to hold staff accountable, and expertise in overseeing documentation and compliance requirements.

This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, confident in leading others, and able to provide structure and support to a growing team.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Oversight
  • Supervise, guide, and support Recovery Managers

  • Manage staff performance, productivity, and compliance requirements

  • Review progress notes, IRPs, ANSAs, and documentation for accuracy

  • Provide direct feedback and corrective guidance as needed

  • Conduct weekly check-ins and maintain ongoing communication with the team

  • Assist with onboarding and training of new Recovery Managers

  • Address escalations from staff, providers, group homes, nurses, etc.

Direct Recovery Management Services

  • Maintain a small caseload while fulfilling coordinator duties

  • Conduct home visits, community appointments, and interdisciplinary meetings

  • Complete progress notes within 48 hours and meet all documentation deadlines

  • Coordinate with LMHAs, providers, housing staff, and nursing teams

  • Support client crisis resolution and advocate for client needs

Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree(Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Human Services or a related behavioral science field)

  • Minimum 2 years of leadership/management experience

  • Must have directly led a team, supervised staff, or managed performance

  • Experience managing case management or behavioral health teams strongly preferred

  • Minimum two years of experience working with adults with severe mental illness (SMI).

  • Strong ability to review, correct, and ensure compliant documentation

  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

  • Must be able to work independently and manage a team in a remote/hybrid structure

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

  • Ability to complete contract hours and responsibilities independently as a 1099 contractor

Compensation & Schedule
  • $30/hour (1099 contractor)

  • Flexible hybrid schedule

  • Must be available for staff needs, provider communication, and client visits

  • Contractor is responsible for managing their own taxes, transportation costs, and schedule

All staff must complete Satori Alternatives to Managing Aggression (SAMA) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training. Applicants who have not yet obtained certification may receive the training through the Operations Manager after hire.
I currently hold valid SAMA/CPI certification, and it is up to date.
I have not yet completed the training but plan to obtain it on my own.
I would need assistance in obtaining the training.
